Burden

In the Empire of Kyawas, the Mahari may tithe not just their citizen's money, but also their time. A citizen will occassionally be called to service by the realm, forced to work a specific job at whatever location the Order of Records seems fit to send them. This form of taxation is referred to as a citizen's Burden. Jat Nama citizens are always Burdened, they are not allowed to pick their own occupation.

A business can petition the Order of Records for Burdened employees, though most Burdens are for issues relating to the military and war efforts or other imperial matters.
