Born from the fires of the Arcane War, the Veiled Knights emerged as silent protectors against the unchecked cruelty of the Crown. Their founder, Captain (name), a once-loyal soldier of the King’s Guard, could no longer stand by as innocent lives were sacrificed for political gain. Gathering like-minded warriors, he led his followers into the shadows, vowing to defend those whom the monarchy had abandoned. While history paints them as outlaws, the truth is more complex—they fought not for rebellion, but for justice.
In the present age, the Veiled Knights endure, though their mission has evolved. No longer a shield against war, they now serve as the unseen enforcers of the knight’s code, rooting out corruption within the King’s Guard. Knights who abuse their power—those who extort, exploit, or dishonor their station—find themselves hunted by the very code they swore to uphold.
For now, the Crown tolerates their existence, viewing them as a necessary shadow rather than an open threat. Yet within the order itself, fractures have formed. The Purists, believing the monarchy itself is beyond redemption, seek to tear it down. The True Knights remain loyal to the old ideals, enforcing honor without political ambition. And the Shadows, ever watchful, whisper their secrets into the ears of the King himself.
