Army of Aetos

The Army of Aetos is the royal army of Echaea.
There is a compulsory 2 year national service for all citizens aged 18, once complete, the citizen is then allowed to vote. There are some special exceptions made for certain individuals, especially those with physical disabilities.
The army often trains their soldiers on the outskirts of Canthus, with many simply being assigned as city patrols. Those who have shown exceptional skill on horseback are then sent to Nymphaion to train for a further six months, and it's common to see those who are sent to become cavalry remain for as long as they are physically able.
