Arkine

It is said that the Arkine used to be werewolves (and are often mistaken for them), but recently they were aided through the use of nature magic. The great wolf spirit of Arkan saw the plight of this afflicted people, and sacrificed himself so they may be cleansed of the curse, but they were forever changed. These people were cemented into their wolf like appearance, but gained control of themselves.

Spirit Walk

When an Arkine reaches adulthood, they are expected to go out into the world to provide value to the land and its people, and along the way find Arkan's resting place to commune with his spirit and receive his blessing. Some leave to complete this journey, never to return, possibly caught up in the worlds vices, possibly dead along the way, possibly rejecting the pilgrimage, or worse Arkan refuses to give his blessing. Those Arkine that turn their backs or are rejected often lose their way, turning to evil, and stalking the world and the dreamscape to bring the suffering they feel to others. These Arkine are often called Nightbrothers by the rest of the clan.  

Arkine Traits

As an Arkine you have the following traits.
Age. Arkine mature around the age of 16 and typically live to around 120 years old.   Creature Type. You are a Humanoid.   Size. Arkine range from 5 to 7 feet tall. Your size is Medium.   Speed. Your walking speed is 35 feet.   Darkvision. Accustomed to the moonlit forests and other dark wildernesses, you have superior sight in the dark. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and darkness as if it were dim light, You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.   Wolf's Sensibilities. You have proficiency in the Stealth and Perception Skills.   Fight as One. You may gain advantage on an attack as long as one of you allies is within 5 feet of your target, and the ally is not incapacitated. You may use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency modifier. You gain all expended charges a the end of a long rest.   Moon Touched. Arkan's sacrifice forever linked the Arkine with the world of dreams much like their wolfish brethren. As such, they are immune to magical affects that require them to dream, such as the dream spell, and advantage against magical affects that put them to sleep. Additionally, when they sleep they may choose not to gain the benefits of a long rest and instead walk the world of dreams to see possible futures, or search for information within the world of dreams.   Languages. You can speak, read, and write common and Arkan.
