Steel Talon
A deadly looking glaive with an oversized curved blade on the end of its short curved and gold inlaid pole. Despite its daunting appearance, the Steel Talon is surprisingly light and maneuverable.
You gain a +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this magic weapon.
After attuning to the sword, you learn its command phrase. You can hold the blade in front of you with its point facing skyward and speak its command phrase as an action, activating its special ability.
Seven Blades, Steel. The Steel Talon seems to split, creating three identical blades to either side of it. These six duplicates are thrown outward, landing at a location of your choice within a 40 foot radius around you. On your turn, you may freely teleport to a duplicate of your choice and use it to make a single melee attack against a creature within 10 ft, doing so consumes the duplicate which shatters when you complete the attack. You may use any number of these free attacks during your turn, provided there are duplicate swords remaining to teleport to.
Any creature other than the one attuned to the Steel Talon cannot make physical contact with or use the duplicate blades and takes 2d8 psychic damage if it attempts to do so.
The duplicates last for up to 1 minute if not consumed by making an attack. The Steel Talon can’t be used this way again until the wielder’s next long rest.
