Personal history
Little is known about Sogo's history prior to his appointment as an alchemic artificer within the Arcanum Mechanica. He quickly rose in rank and was made head of the emerging mutagenic research division operating out of the Din Kwaalan facility. In an attempt to create a modified soldier that could effectively combat and eliminate various monstrosities and aberrations throughout Qoyne, he began the Shikari Initiative.
While the success of the first generation Shikari was notable and earned Sogo the rank of Cherub, he was soon the subject of great scrutiny due to the inhumane tactics and procedures he employed to manufacture his creations. Following stricter regulations of his procedures and oversight of his research, Sogo expressed frustration with the reduced capacity of his second generation Shikari.
Following the First Generation Shikari uprising at Din Kwaalan, and a revelations that he was failing to meet ethical standards in production of his 3rd Generation Prototypes, Sogo was stripped of his rank and exiled. He continued his research in exile, moving his operations to the Yidu mountains where he and his loyal subordinates renovated an old mining facility to continue their projects independently.
