Choose a creature that you can see within range. The target must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw.

  • Major Success: The target is unaffected.
  • Success: The target's speed is halved until the end of its next turn.
  • Failure: The target is paralyzed until the end of its next turn, provided that this spell hasn't ended.
  • Major Failure: The target is paralyzed for the duration, but can repeat the saving throw at the end of its next turn.

 
At higher levels: When you cast this spell at 6th level or higher, you can target on additional creature for each level above 5th. The creatures must be within 30 feet of each other when you target them.
