Gate
Gate
9-level Conjuration
You create two teleportation portals that are linked to one another, these portals remain open for the duration. Choose an unoccupied space that you can see within range for the first portal, and a precise location anywhere, on any plane of existence for the second portal. The precise location can be any place that you have seen, or are familiar with. The portals are two-dimensional glowing rings which you can make 5 to 20 feet in diameter. The rings hover an inch above the ground and can be oriented in any direction you choose. A portal is visible only from one side (your choice), which is the side that functions as a portal. Any creature or object entering the portal exits from the other portal as if the two were adjacent to each other; passing through a portal from the nonportal side has no effect. When you cast this spell, you can speak the name of a specific creature (a pseudonym, title, or nickname doesn't work). The second portal opens in the named creature's immediate vicinity.
