Jjyorkvald

The largest and northernmost dominance of the Orvulian Empire. Jjyorkvald is the least populous area of the empire and has access to the largest deposits of natural resources. Vast forests cover much of the dominance with the Wverndun Mountains taking up a large portion of the north and the entire eastern border. It is cold for most of the year with snow being common in all parts of the province. Due to its low population, it also has a large population of beasts and wild animals that are not found further south.
Jjyorkvald is of significant historical importance as it is the oldest inhabited plane in Elsinya. Ancient human settlements, tombs, and the ancient city of Kaldbakr are found within the region. Leading to a significant research community within the dominance. Humans are still the most populous race in Jjyorkvald with elves and dwarves making up a smaller but still significant portion of the population. Halflings and Din are also found in Jjyorkvald with Ohanedin being the most common type of Din.
Jjyorkvald sits as a wild and rich landscape near the top of the world, with a layered history that goes back to the founding of the world. This is one of the least appreciated and most valuable parts of the Orvulian Empire.
