Herr Mephistopheles Verglast

Mephistopheles Antony Verglast is a former duke of Hell once leading the Demons of the Crossroads, and a war hero of the Second Demonic Civil War.

Personal History

As all Old Testament Demons, Mephistopheles once served the god of man as an angel of courtship, guiding lovers into courtship under His name. He was a lesser angel, never aspiring to perform the task with any sense of urgency as he felt the task beneath him and boorish. Friends were few and loneliness in abundance, as he often redrew himself from the majority of the other angels. Despite his low standing and disinterest in angelic affairs, Lucifer had made a friend of him and trusted him as a close confident. Eventually Lucifer brought the idea of rebellion to Mephistopheles' attention asking for his aid in overthrowing the god of man.

Mephistopheles served as grand coordinator during the angelic civil war organising the coalition of angels that would form the rebellious third of angels. Along with Lucifer, Satanus, and Beelzebub, he aided in planning the grand rebellion to topple the god of man from their throne.
