The Silver Triad
Structure
The Silver Triad is a secret group of ruthless mercenaries and assassins, specializing in contracts on feys. Their numbers are between 50-100, though the organisation is strictly departmentalised, so only a few knows. The most dominant races in The Silver Triads are (1) humans, (2) tieflings and (3) changelings.
Their symbol is silver triangle with two half-circle inside at the bottom, symbolising the sun and moon. All members are given a code-name upon completion of the initiation process. Some members have the symbol tattooed on their wrist in Thieves Cant, though most prefer not to, as to keep their allegiances as secret as possible.
Culture
Any fallen prey should be marked with the symbol and code-name , though discretely. This is done to signify other Triad members if the Triad is involved.
There are special symbols signifying different circumstances, such as,
(a) If a foe was (un)worthy.
(b) If the member is (not) in need of assistance.
(c) The basic direction to where the member is headed.
Though these three should always be included in the marking. Most members carry @The Hidden Blade for this purpose.
They have their own form of Thieves Cant which is taught in the initation.
No-one in The Silver Triad knows who the true leader is. Some speculate that there actually is no leader any longer, as noone has been able to take on a throne, they do not know to exist. Another speculation among the members is that there is no need for a successor to the throne, as the former dragons never left the throne.
Assets
As secrecy is one of the most upheld pillars of The Silver Triad, only a few know what their treasury actually holds.
It is however believed among the members that @The Dragons Tooth still lies within their reach.
History
Following the neglect of commoners from the high lords, a band of brothers formed. They sought to empower themselves. Their ways weren't stealthily sufficient, as they were discovered and almost brought to extinction. Having learnt of their past mistakes, they turned to their departmentalization - noone can spill every secret, as noone knows all the secrets.
The Silver Triad has always shown great respects to dragons. In the early days they made several deals with dragons, and grew friendly with them - even to the point of some dragons joining The Silver Triad, and few as leading members. During the war on dragons, the dragons of The Silver Triad saw the opportunity of a power vacuum. They sought to obtain the powers of their fathers which led to bloodshed - further bringing the downfall of dragons. Though today, The Silver Triads' members are ashamed of their former transgressions towards dragons, and hold them in high esteem.
Religion
As The Silver Triads took on a more political role in their early history and included more dragons in their leadership, so did some cells form their own dragon-based worship. The intensity of their beliefs varies, as some are completely sure that all dragons are extinct and see no point in worship; while others view dragons as their true leader, whom they firmly believe should stand upon the pinnacle of all.
Foreign Relations
Due to their common history, The Silver Triad has gained a rather antagonistic view of The Yellow Dragons. Some cells even specializes in orders on The Yellow Dragons to such an extent that an assigned kill of a member is used as part of the initiation process. It is unknown if their rivaling organization even are aware that The Silver Triad exists, as there has been little to no retaliation so far.
