Mikalia "Samun" Aigwon

In northeastern Daendar, in the region known as Ud, there is a tale of a woman known as Samun who has helped secure the freedom of this region since before the Great Borean War. While most believe that Samun was a real dwarven woman who lived in the region, her 'title' has been passed on to others over the years to help Ud maintain its autonomy and place as part of Daendar. The first Samun is said to have used a keen manipulation of local politics, masked as blatant flirtation and promises of favours (never granted), to divert political attention away from Ud .
The current "Samun", who's real name is Mikaila Aigwon, is the owner of the Gilded Cage, a renowned brothel operating in Ud which draws in clientele from Andwer, Danedar, and even Konard from time to time (as well as travellers and merchants). The Gilded Cage is a new establishment, having recently been built on the site of the burned-down Silver Whispers, with money that Mikaila collected from a long-list of benefactors hoping to win her favour. 
Mikaila Aigwon was borne of an employee of Silver Whispers, conceived through a relationship between her mother and one of the Whisper's regular clients, Aja Tiydo. While Aja and Mikaila's mother never were a couple, both were equal parts of her life when was younger. She moved between their houses, learning (in passing) not only about her mother's work, but also about the work of her father, Aja, who was a diplomat and negotiator. As Mikaila grew older, she began to follow the house's owner, an older woman named Plionce, and learn about the ins and outs of the business. When Plionce died, during the fire that also took the Silver Whispers, Mikaila vowed to rebuild in her memory and to give the employees a new place to work, building the Gilded Cage in its place.
While Mikaila did not share her mother's profession, she did learn many tricks to keep those interested in her coming back for more. Some eventually realised that they would never get what they were after, but many more were content to through good money after bad, hoping to be the first one to break through her known teasing. To keep a good flow of money coming into the Gilded Cage, Mikaila often went on "business trips", wherein she would travel around and pretend to be a regular traveller, finding affluent people and flirting with them before inviting them to visit her at her home in Ud. Upon their arrival at the Gilded Cage, she would greet them, convince them to stay, and eventually sell other services to the new guests while providing none herself.
