Summary

A judge is an appointed official who is typically required to act on the behalf of a state, government, or local ordinance for the purpose of executing and determining the meaning of the law. In dagavirm society, judges hold an abundance of power and are typically seen as prosecutors, defendants, legislatures, and even electoral representatives.

Qualifications

Judges must undergo several years-worth of law school in order to qualify for a bar-exam held by the appointing government. However, this can range from a simple task to a very long and arduous undertaking.

Requirements

Most appointee governments will have their own rules and regulations to what prerequisites must be filled in order for an individual to qualify for the position of a Judge, however, certain universal aspects usually consist of an age requirement, some former experience in law, nativity of the country of origin, and a proper education on literary concepts and legal terminology.

Appointment

The appointment of a Judge is usually conducted by another Judge or someone of higher standing, typically nobility or an elected official.

Duties

Judges are sometimes required to perform daily hearings, act as a prosecutor or defendent in Higher-Courts, or act as legal representation for entire areas or districts.

Responsibilities

Judges are responsible for acting as electorates during general elections, refferendums and legislative actions. They are also responsible for acting as legal representation in court for individuals who cannot afford to hire proper representation or in the case of special-interest cases against the government, must act on the behalf of the prosecutor if asked to provide legal counsel.

Cultural Significance

Historically, Judges have been the backbone of most successful civil movements, parties and organizations. To be Judge in the service of even the Lower-Courts in dagavirm society is a very signifant and sought after profession which is not only respected but also given the honorable title of Sir, which holds legal benefits and privileges depending on the location and government.
