Ubuntu arrives in
The Flying Owlbear and 3 adventurers set in a rescue mission to recruit the others. They are:
- Azaki, a Sea Elf Monk.
- Okrin, a Fallen Asimar Warlock who follows the path of the Hex blade
- Hlod'Wig Battlehammer, a Hill Dwarf Barbarian.
The characters set for the river, where they meet with Quill, who had just woken up after being carried by the river. They join forces and decide to search for
Hector along the bank of the river, going up the waterfall. There they have intercepted a band of Tabaxi hunters, who take them to their village.
In the Tabaxi village, they are having a problem: there is a wizard tower, and on top of it there is a huge lightning sphere. The Tabaxi are afraid that this will explode killing all of them, and fear evacuating the village. The characters agree to help.
They enter the tower and make it to the top level. There, they destroy parts of the statue, making the effect end. The village is saved and the characters receive a well-deserved rest.
At night, the characters decide to explore the giant pyramid in the village. They notice that both the pyramid and the tower were occupied by beings of the same race as
Hector, and they were teaching and training children for some unknown purpose.
The characters find a room with the entrance to a lower part of the pyramid, and when they enter they find themselves in a strange room with two large platforms floating apparently in space. They make their way to the next room where they are attacked by an undead serpentine skeleton with two torsos and large claws.
Okrin took a pouch containing 100 GPs to himself, as a reward from saving the Tabaxi.
