King Bartholomeu Komnene (a.k.a. The Giant Ruler)

Bartholomeu, (Bartholomeu Komnene; xxxx) is the king of Salaar. He rules over the kingdom with an iron fist and is known for cracking down on illegal sorcery and revoking mage permits.

Bartholomeu was born in Freinkhafa, the capital of Salaar, to his father Ahkmod Komnene and his mother (unknown). Due to his height and large stature it is rumored Bartholomeu's mother was a giant or other large creature. He began training for war at the age of 6 by his father. He was the youngest officer in the Salaar military by the age of 23.

Bartholomeu is primarily known for ending the Sun War, his usurpation of the Salaar throne and the following Second Mage Purge.

King Komnene hates mages and brought about the Second Mage Purge by revoking all government issued mage permits and jailing any mage that previously held a mage permit. Any mages that resisted were executed. The purge was swift lasting only two months.
