Shooter McGee

A natural with thrown weapons, Shooter McGee is best known for his back to back championships in the Archstone Triathlon event at the Archstone Games, as well as his considerable wealth obtained through his interest in a Platinum Mine near the town of Vermeillon, on the eastern side of the Spine.

Early Adventures

Shooter McGee spent a number of years honing his skills in the amateur dart-throwing circuit before joining an adventuring party and earning a position as an adventurer on retainer with Leopold Octavius.

The Archstone Games

Shooter McGee featured in at least two official competitions at Cooperage's Archstone Games. McGee was a favorite heading into the 605th Archstone Games, after gaining popularity and acclaim across the armature dart-throwing circuit. In the 605th Archstone Games, he placed first, due to an incredible feat at the final stage: the dart throw.
Four years later, McGee repeated his gold-medal run. After some drama and a last minute disqualification by his challenger, Duke Tallyrand, McGee took home the gold for the second time in a row, at the 606th Archstone Games.

Vermeillon

The bright light from his hooded lantern illuminated the cavern. These abominations didn't stand a chance against a champion, he thought. In an instant, a dart shoots out of his hand and pierces directly through the Meenlock's armored scales. Before the first dart even makes contact, another flies out from his hand, this one striking between the creature's eyes. As his enemy falls to the ground, Shooter pivots and dives to the plunger, triggering an explosion that rocks the cavern and sends debris across himself and the final Meenlock. It seemed that Octavius had picked the right man for the job.

McGee's considerable wealth came from his involvement in the restoration and re-opening of the Platinum Mine near Vermeillon, in the southeastern reaches of The Spine.
McGee and his competitors at the 606th Archstone Games were contracted to secure Vermeillon and the mine by Leopold Octavius, who had just recently purchased the deed to both the town and the Platinum Mine. The three traveled together by Ox Cart to the town of Maerin, where they met Lukas Grosvenor, proprietor and former Vermeillon citizen.
The party found that Vermeillon and the mine had been taken over by a pack of corrupted Fey creatures called Meenlocks. After defeating the Meenlocks, the party secured the town and the mine. In return, each member was awarded an ownership stake in the mine. Each of the three would go on to become extraordinarily wealthy.
