Engraved Brass Coin I

What appears to be a a simple brass coin the faces are engraved or perhaps cast
  • One face shows a single line engraved as a vertical stroke in the surface
  • This could be a representation of the number one but without a frame of reference this is impossible to tell
  • This face also has four small arrows pointing out from the centre to the edge of the disc, they are arranged as if the cardinal points of a compass (N,S,E,W)
  • The other side is a geometric pattern of small square columns of varying heights in an 8x8 grid. It appears to have been cast as if in some sort of mould
  • The columns protrude from the surface of the disc, the highest of which is about 1cm
  • Each column is about 3mm square
  • There is no discernible pattern that you can tell
