The second of the conflicts between the Dragons and Giants broke out after the murder of the Blue Dragon Prince, Altean by the Hill Giant, Gorm; while on a hunting expedition to Isone. This war would be fought over the very island and surrounding territory, ending with the Dragons being driven out, but not before decimating the Hill Giant clan in the midst of the fighting.

The Blue Dragon Prince, Altean had taken a hunting party to the Island of Isone to hunt large game to bring back glory for himself and his house, knowing it was the territory of the Giants. While in the dense forests, he was confronted by the Hill Giant Grom and his Isone hound, Falgrid. Altean was pinned by the giant while the hound tore his head off. The Prince's head was soon found on a stake near to the southern gulf.   The King of the Blue Dragons led a fierce retaliation, met by Fire giant friends of Gorm. One battle led to another and before long, many Dragon Kin had joined to take part in the conflict, while to Colossal King sat idle on his throne due to the presence of a Draconic emissary in the form of Auger, the Queen of Gold Dragons, whom had been within his court prior to the murder of the prince.   Despite his idleness, the giants of Isone were able to push back against the dragons, driving them out of thier island home, but not before Gorm's castle was demolished, his bones ripped from his body through a twisted necromancy ritual performed by the wife and widow of Altean, Cirea, who was rumored to have become the first Dracolich as a unpleasant biproduct of the ritual.
