The End of the First War

Era beginning/end

When the gods sealed away the traitors and set about the governance of their creation under the three houses.

Depending on the story of the faith, one adhears to, the story is told in a number of ways. But according to the faith of the Houses, the most widespread of religions on Ellecrid; the long war between the gods and the traitors came to an end when the traitors were thrown down into the bowels of Ellecrid their broken bodies used as mortar to hold the new world together, their souls ripped from their corpses and woven into the fabric of the Magical aura that surrounded the world and shielded it from the cosmos. The corpses of the traitors can still be made out if one were to look close enough while traveling through the Middle and Lower Cavern World.   After the conclusion of this battle and the carrying out of the traitor's sentences, the gods then divided into their three respective houses in order to govern over their divine portfolios. The House of White would govern over that which was seen as good in the world. The House of Black would govern all that was evil. The House of Grey would govern all that fell in between good and evil, the neutral house.   This is the time when Ellecrid would be given it's name by Bacton, the God of Names. Ellecrid meaning "born from shards."
