Aldacairn

The land of the Aldacarin, the Elven Imperium. As long as there has been time recorded on Ellecrid, Aldacarin has stood, or so the histories tell. Its lands and cities, a scattering of monuments from ancient days and a living testament to the pride and glory of the elven peoples. A land any elf may call home.

Structure

The Aldacairn Empire, or Elven Imperium to the rest of the world, is ruled by a hereditary monarch, who takes on the title of Emperor upon their ascension. The Emperor is aided in ruling via a parliamentary senate made up of one hundred and twenty-four represented factions, each holding five seats each within the senate. Within the Empire, there are a number of smaller provinces, each ruled by a Provincial Governor, elected by the presiding faction of that particular province. The Factions themselves serve a number of functions, whether it be political, social, economic, or militaristic. In this way, the Empire can more easily take census from each province.

Assets

The Aldacairn is the world's largest land empire, alongside being the most long lived. It has within it's purview a wealth of resources, both common and uncommon, just due to sheer size. Many mines, plentiful in ores as well as fertile farmlands and forests. They also boast the most indomitable navy and knightly orders, such as the Rending Knights and the Imperial Host. Their navy has adapted, having learned from centuries of trial and error to not only be diverse, but numerous. They have developed ships to sail on the open water, as well as traverse the shallows of rives and lakes.
