In the ruins of an ancient empire, now long deceased, the world tries to understand its past and determine its future. The High Elves of Aethra forged the first Ley Lines, tamed drakes, and connected to the unlimited power of the Aether. Then one day the High Elves were called back to Aethra and shortly thereafter Aethra disappeared and sent the world into chaos. 5,000 years later the stability the world had gained seems to be crumbling as the new nations of Elindria bicker and fight amongst themselves. The rediscovery of Siege Magic, the ability to affect magic on a massive scale, has led to a resurgence in magical study in every nation.   The Academy of the Floating Isle and the high dragon Balldir stands as a marvel of what magic can be achieved, but across the ocean, the nation of Doria and the Corrupted Dragon shows the damage it can cause. The time of change is coming to a close, but will the world look like when it has finally settled? It is up to your players to decide where the chips will land.
