King Ervan Tyler (a.k.a. “The first king”)

Ervan Tyler was the first king of the Kingdom of Erdantia and was the figurehead of the Great Rebellion, the conflict in which the people of the Peninsula of Erdantia declared independence from the Cordaint Empire, forming the Kingdom of Erdantia.

Ervan was an excellent swordsman. His sword remains within the royal family today, in the possession of King Ulric Tyler, although it does has not seen battle in 70 years.

Ervan was a tinsmith before joining the rebellion. His charisma and surprising military strategy made his a symbol of the rebellion. After the rebellion ended in 1408, the people declared him King, much to the displeasure of the generals of the rebellion, who had planned on forming a military junta. Some of the generals did form a resistance group and attempt a coup, but were quickly shut down and executed by Ervan.
