Jarray
A market and military town in the northern Lesser Mountains of Amray.
Government
As an Amrayen town, Jarray falls under the overview of the council of chiefs. They regulate its laws and have the highest power.
Jarray also has its own town council made up of respected townspeople and church men. They govern the day to day affairs, and act as a slight buffer between the commander of the garrison and the rest of the town.
Law is enforced as a joint military and local operation, and justice is dispenced by a mixed jury of elders and other citizens selected by lot.
Defences
Jarray is home to a large garrison that defend the area against raids. The town is circled by stone wall that is kept in good repair.
Geography
Jarray sits on the edge of a mountain with terraced farmland all around, and forest beyond it that constantly creeps back over the cleared land.
