The
The Games first originated in the realm of Aeonia in 1376 AE.
Adi-Tauron's Defeat
For many years, a threat was growing in the southern frontier of
Aeonia, a threat that threatened not only Aeonia, but all of Elednom. However, three mere mortal adventurers had come upon this plot, an unknown enemy and darkness that would later be known as
Adi-Tauron. The adventurers exposed this threat in 1372 AE (Aeonian Era), dismantling the secret plot and eventually defeating Adi-Tauron himself.
It is said that as a reward, these three adventurers were granted divine power from other deities, and later were tested by
The Ovar (a group of divine beings that were Heralds of various deities, spirits, and the Fates.)
The Ovar-Battled
Esme-Char, Qwibron, and Skitari, the three adventurers that defeated Adi-Tauron, soon after ascended into godhood themselves. A celebration was marked at the end of Midsummer (when it was believed Adi-Tauron was defeated), and this celebration eventually grew.
1376 - The First True Games
The First official Festival games was held in the small town of Burling in Aeonia, 3 years after the first yearly celebration in 1373. Esme-Char, Qwibron, and Skitari, new divine beings yet without a Plane to call home, walked Elednom and continued to adventure. They spoke of the tests they had to face by The Ovar, and mimicking the battles they faced, the Games evolved into a larger event.
It so happened that the celebration occured during the Leap Year, also known as
The Gathering Days, and thus the Games would take place at this time, and slowly evolved to what it is today.
