Perfection

Perfection is a katana formed when a lost spirit crossed the death of a hero. It is a long silver blade with "Perfection" carved into the side of the blade in common, with glowing blue words. The edge of the blade glows a faint blue, and the handle is wrapped in a blue cloth. The sheath for Perfection is black, and has chains running along it which can be used as a frog. The pommel for the sword also has chains attached to it, which can be attached to the sheath, locking the blade in its scabbard.

Perfection has the soul of a great sword master in it, who appears and "coaches" the holder after every strike. After a successful attack with Perfection, the blade speaks to the holder, telling them secrets to wielding it more effiently. The holder must make a DC 10 Int skill check, on a success gaining a permanent +1 to damage rolls, and on a failure not gaining anything. After a failed attack with Perfection, the blade ruthlessly points out the flaws in the holder's swing, pointing out openings in the enemy's defense. The holder must make a DC 10 Int skill check, on a success gaining a permanent +1 to attack rolls, and on a failure not gaining anything. After gaining a +10 to either attack or damage rolls with this ability, the knowledge is burned into the holder's brain, granting proficiency with katanas (double proficiency if they already have it, triple if they have double, ect.). After Perfection is sheathed, all memory of its coaching are purged from the holder's head, removing their bonuses except for their proficiency gains. Perfection sheathes itself with its chains in 1 hour if it is kept out of its scabbard. A successful DC 35 Str check can prevent Perfection from sheathing itself, for 1 more hour.
Perfection is a living weapon with the ability to manifest and encourage proficiency. Perfection can enter a contract with mortals under extreme circumstances, though only temperary. Perfection is a Victory Weapon.
Perfection is proud and unyielding, unwilling to accept that it is wrong at anything, and incredibly cocky due its confirmation bias. Perfection will refuse to unsheathe for a creature that criticizes it too much, out of spite. Perfection likes those who are obedient and intelligent enough to follow its instructions.
