Aegis (Ay-j-ih-s)
Aegis is a weapon created at The Colosseum, by the sacrifice of a dwarf's life for the life of a human, at the same moment of intersection between divine energy and nature magic. Aegis appears as a pointed shield, which has sharp edges on each corner and a skull on the front of it wearing a viking helmet with horns. The shield appears to be made of steel, and the helmet made of mythril.
Aegis raises AC by 5.
When a player within 5ft of the holder, or the holder, would be hit by an attack, roll an extra D20, on a roll equal to or above 12, Aegis extends and interupts the attack, causing it to miss. If the player has a connection with Aegis and is using it after an exteded period of time, the required roll is lowered to 9.

Aegis is a living weapon, which is indestructable and can extend or change shape depending on it's holder's needs. Aegis can be found under a short contract with a mortal, although it is usually on the arm of the corpse of Haemir. Aegis is a Victory Weapon.
Aegis likes those who go out of their way to protect others, and likes undead as well. As such, it dislikes those associated with most deities, and divine powers. Aegis is quiet but sturdy, often speaking very little but speaking words that matter when it does.
