CHS - Cryptid Hunter Society

CRYPTID! HUNTER! SOCIETY!   Yeah, there's all kinds of weird stuff happening in Dogstown, and who better to catch it, catelogue it, and make sure it's all handled than uh, what, a dozen (at most) college-aged (or teenaged) doofuses with matching specially embroidered hats? They've also got, like, one night-vision camera, so there's also that! It's totally legit, totally above board, and absolutely the kinda organization you wanna put some money towards!   When you're living in a place like Dogstown where there's all kindsa weird rumors and myths, there's bound to be a group that springs up every thirty years or so to try and hunt down the cool supernatural secrets that are hidden down in the sewers or the heart of the town or whatever. Don't worry about it.

Structure

The Cameraman -- that's Terrence -- does the big heavy camera work, which you'd expect given the name and all that. He's the guy who went to an actual film school, so he's the one who does the camera shooting. Plus, you know. He's the guy who has the camera out on loan. So he kind of can't let anyone use it.   Then you've got the Producer, and that's Marcus Lopez, who is a recently-transitioned guy who is actually the twin of-- okay, no, we're getting off track. Marcus does a lot of the producer work. Editing, that kind of stuff. I mean, there's an editor, but-- yeah. Marcus does the editing. And the sound stuff.   The editor I mentioned, that's Iosefka. She's a doofus, and she should probably get a different haircut, but that kind of baby butch smile gets people all soft-eyed around town, so it's fine. Editor is ... well, she mostly does clip work, adjusting sound levels, I don't know, it's arcane to me.   Then there's Blue, who mostly does Sound. She's got a good guitar hand, and she can even play the washboard or spoons. It's actually pretty neat. Come by and listen one day.   ... and Lisa, yeah. Lisa was one of the founding group, too. There's a little altar to her-- a candle, an ofrenda during the right time of year (even though, between us, they keep it up the rest of the time). Some of the new folks, they don't get it, but Lisa? Lisa was the Mic-Girl. She was the one in front of the camera. She was a light, a happy face, and it always sucks when you lose that.

Culture

CHS is pretty chill. Laid back in a lot of ways. No dress code, no mandatory meetings most of the time.
