Fallcrest City

While not the largest, Fallcrest City is the most influential seat of a High Wizard in the southern portions of the Fey Coast, with the city of Aglarond largely concerned with its own internal governance, leaving the surrounding areas to be administered by the High Wizard of Fallcrest. It is the center of all commerce traveling by land and river south of the capital city of Orn'Tal.

Government

Fallcrest is the seat of the High Wizard Alidar, and is subject to the typical political vagueries that are common throughout the Fey Coast. Lady Amara Relaine governs the city and its day to day affairs, although she and the city council play so minimal a role in the larger politics of the region that her name is often not known even to frequent visitors of the city.   The peace within the city and the surrounding countryside is, similarly, nominally in the purview of the City Watch. While the general citizenry are far more likely to know members of the Watch than the City Council, and taking a posting for several years in the Watch as a young person is not uncommon, anyone who has spent more than a month in the region understands that the real power in the region lies with Radiant Guard and the High Wizard.   Indeed, Alidar has historically taken a far more direct hand in the governance and operations of the region he has been tasked with protecting than is typical for High Wizards, even in their Seats. In recent memory, only the late High Wizard Farun, who was already the elected leader of Aglarond prior to her elevation to the Wizard's Council has taken such a direct hand.

Defences

A full stone ring wall encompasses the city, thirty feet high. At each gate, a complement of city watch stand guard and inspect those entering. If needed, a Radiant Guard officer is called down to extract the truth, search for smuggled items, etc.

Industry & Trade

Largely trades in refining products from the nearby sprawling farm lands and mines. Wools, grains, and copper are dominant. Refined goods and metals are shipped down the Bandon River to Pavv for export up and down the Fey Coast and across the Eastern Ocean.
