Archlich (a.k.a. The Tyrant)

The Archlich Pentergost is an ancient name that not many know of, but for those who do, it strikes utter terror into their hearts. In life, Pentergost was a maleficent tyrant that ruled over millions of Mindflayer and Gith with an iron fist. Evidence has been found that he would torture and display anyone that would cross him with vicious methods and had started several violent purges/genocides on a whim. When Pentergost underwent the experimental ritual to transform himself into a Lich, the Gith used the small sliver of time to overthrow their Mindflayer Overlords as they were without the powerful leader. Pentergost still completed the ritual and became the first Lich, but found his Kingdom in ruins. It is unknown what Pentergost had been doing between becoming a Lich and the next time he emerged, but when he did reappear around 919BU, several powerful heroes from across Velaria, a host of The Scarlet Guard , worked together to defeat and supposedly kill the Illithilich.
