Justara
Overview
Justara, the Goddess of Justice and Retribution, is a paragon of unwavering strength and an embodiment of fairness forged through fire. Born of Sethyra, Goddess of Wisdom and Transformation, and Order, she emerged as a divine force to hold both gods and mortals accountable. Fiercely loyal to her mother and the ideals of justice, Justara spearheaded a decisive war against the Primordials, ensuring their oppressive interference in the realm of the gods would never happen again. Her existence is a testament to resistance, power, and the unyielding pursuit of justice.
Origin
Justara's birth was the result of a reluctant agreement between Sethyra and Order, a union fraught with tension and manipulation. Order, desiring an heir to embody the ideals of divine fairness and structure, sought to force Sethyra or her mother, Xyphria, into this task. To protect her mother and maintain control over the situation, Sethyra chose to bear the child herself, after all Xyphria was still haunted by Light making her bear Sethyra in the first place.
From this union, Justara was born—a goddess of unparalleled will and determination. Witnessing the circumstances of her own conception, she took up arms against the Primordials alongside Sethyra, waging a war that reshaped the divine hierarchy. Together, they succeeded in forbidding the Primordials from ever imposing their will upon the gods again and allowing them to rule the mortal realm in their own right.
Personality
Justara is a no-nonsense figure with a fierce sense of duty and an indomitable spirit. She is pragmatic yet compassionate, tempering her quest for justice with wisdom inherited from her mother. Her presence is commanding, and her words carry the weight of truth and authority.
Though she is unyielding in her pursuit of fairness, Justara’s actions are driven by a deep desire to protect the vulnerable. She does not seek vengeance for vengeance's sake but instead ensures that the balance of justice is maintained. Her fearlessness and dedication make her a beloved figure to those who fight for what is right and a nightmare to those who exploit the weak.
Worship
Justara is venerated by warriors, lawmakers, and anyone who seeks justice in an unjust world. Her temples often double as courthouses or places of arbitration, where her priests mediate disputes and deliver fair judgments.
Her followers celebrate her during the Day of Reckoning, a sacred event where disputes are publicly resolved, debts are forgiven, and individuals recommit themselves to the principles of justice. Offerings to Justara include forged weapons, scales, and oaths sworn in her name.
Appearance
Justara is a vision of power and grace, her presence exuding authority and strength. Her golden-brown skin radiates an inner glow, her piercing dark eyes hold the wisdom of ages, and her wild black curls flow like an untamed river.
She wears golden armor etched with intricate designs, symbolizing both protection and fairness. Her battle-worn sword, "Equinox," represents balance, and her shield bears the scales of justice. Every detail of her appearance reflects her role as a goddess who embodies both the might and mercy of justice.
