Undead

Undead is more of a category than a Race, as it describes any being that is reanimated after death through some sort of supernatural means.  Created through necromantic magic, curses, or dark rituals, undead creatures defy the natural order and possess varying degrees of intelligence, autonomy, and malevolence.

Characteristics and Abilities:

Immunity to Disease and Poison: Being dead, undead creatures are immune to many effects that afflict the living, including diseases and poisons.
Darkvision: Many undead creatures can see perfectly in darkness, making them effective hunters or guardians in low-light environments.
Undead Resilience: They often possess resistance or immunity to conventional weapons, requiring specialized means to destroy them, such as radiant energy or holy water.
Command and Control: Necromancers and other powerful spellcasters can exert control over undead creatures, either through direct mental domination or by establishing hierarchies among their undead minions.

Undead creatures typically lack traditional social structures or cultural norms observed by living beings. Instead, they are driven by instincts, hunger, or the will of their creators. However, some undead, like vampires or liches, may develop complex societies or hierarchies among themselves, driven by their own desires for power or survival.
