The Mage Guild
Having originally started as a branch of the Hunter's guild, a group of the most powerful mages came together to discuss creating their own organisation to better fulfil their requirement and wishes, while still keeping in close touch with the hunters guild.
After having formed the feedback was far more positive than even their most generous forecasts and as such they rapidly grew, the only issue this has caused is that the original ideals and concepts were very quickly diluted by the new members given management positions to keep control over such a large group. As such the mage's guild today hardly matches the original intent, particularly in terms of how closely the mages guild works with the hunters guild, now having a reluctant partnership of convenience rather than a true partnership.
The Mage guild does not often directly involve itself in the process of closing Dungeons, preferring to leave this to the hunters guild and be called in as a specialist in unusual magical situations which arise. They do however study dungeons far more than the hunters guild, running innumerable experiments at any one time for a multitude of different reasons.
