Xeal's Stormborn Fury
Electricity crackles around you as you call upon the power of the storm, striking down foes. Choose two of the following effects upon casting this spell:
Chain Lightning Barrage: As a bonus action on your turn, you can unleash a powerful bolt of lightning at a creature within range. The target must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 3d8 lightning damage, or half as much on a success. The bolt then leaps to up to two additional creatures within 30 feet of the original target, who must make their own saving throw.
Stormborn Shield: You surround yourself with a crackling electrical barrier for the duration. Each time a creature ends their turn within 10 feet of you, the creature must make a Dexterity saving throw, taking 5d8 lightning damage or half as much on a success. A creature grappling you or being grappled by you has disadvantage on this saving throw.
Thunderous Descent: You momentarily become a bolt of lightning, gaining a fly speed of 120 feet until the end of this turn. All movement made in this way is done as though you were shifting. When you next touch the ground, or at the end of this turn, you return to your normal form. Each creature within 10 feet of you when you do so must make a Constitution saving throw, taking 6d8 thunder damage and being stunned until the end of their next turn on a failure, or half as much damage and not stunned on a success.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a higher level spell slot, increase the damage of each effect by 1d8 for each spell level above its base level.
