Harvest Fear

Effect
5th Edition
You draw the fear from a creature and leave an empty void in its place, using it to sustain yourself. A creature of your choice in range that is frightened must make a Wisdom saving throw. On a failure, the target loses the frightened condition and takes 3d8 necrotic damage. You gain hit points equal to half the damage dealt. On a success, the condition ends and the creature takes half damage, but you gain no hit points.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 2nd level or higher, increase the damage by 1d8 for each slot level above 1st. If you cast this spell using a spell slot of 3rd level or higher, you regain hit points even if the creature's saving throw is a success.
