Whether your bloodline traces back to a long-forgotten pact, an ancient boon granted to your ancestors, or even direct lineage from a noble genie, your magic reflects the fundamental forces of the elements. This power manifests as an innate control over air, earth, fire, or water, shaping your spells and abilities in accordance with your genie progenitor’s nature.
Genie-blooded sorcerers possess an undeniable presence, a regal bearing that hints at their supernatural origins. Some are drawn toward the pursuit of boundless freedom, while others feel the weight of destiny upon them, caught between the mortal and elemental realms. Regardless of their path, the might of the genies courses through them, granting them power over the elements, resistance to the trials of the material plane, and, in time, even the ability to reshape reality itself.
Bloodline Spells
1st-Level Sorcerer (Genie Bloodline) Feature
Your magical bloodline has infused you with the ability to cast certain spells. At 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level, you gain access to bloodline spells connected to your particular bloodline.
Once you gain access to a bloodline spell, you always have access to it, it can't be changed to a different spell when you gain a level, and it doesn't count against your number of spells known. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the sorcerer spell list, the spell is nonetheless a sorcerer spell for you. A listed spell is of a base level equal to your highest-level sorcerer spell slot at a given level, even if it is of a different level for other classes.
Elemental Affinity
1st-Level Sorcerer (Genie Bloodline) Feature
Your genie heritage grants you a connection to a particular element. Choose one of the four elements: air, earth, fire, or water. This choice determines additional effects of some of your abilities. When you cast a sorcerer spell that deals acid, cold, fire, lightning, or thunder damage, you can change its damage type to match the element associated with your affinity:
Air: Lightning
Earth: Acid
Fire: Fire
Water: Cold
Additionally, you gain resistance to the damage type associated with your element.
Genie’s Step
6th-Level Sorcerer (Genie Bloodline) Feature
You gain an enhanced movement option based on your Elemental Affinity:
Air: Your movement speed increases by 10 feet, and you gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed while you are not wearing armor or wielding a shield. If you are not on solid ground at the end of your turn, you fall.
Earth: You gain a burrowing speed of 15 feet and can move through nonmagical difficult terrain without penalty.
Fire: You gain the ability to Dash as a bonus action, and when you do so, creatures within 5 feet of you take fire damage equal to your Charisma modifier.
Water: You gain a swimming speed equal to your walking speed and can breathe both air and water.
Additionally, when you use the Dash action, you can move through difficult terrain without expending extra movement.
Elemental Boon
14th-Level Sorcerer (Genie) Feature
Your elemental power grows stronger, granting you a boon tied to your chosen element:
Air: When you cast a spell that deals lightning damage, you can cause creatures of your choice within 10 feet of the spell’s target to take damage equal to half your sorcerer level if they fail a Dexterity saving throw.
Earth: When you cast a spell that deals acid damage, you gain temporary hit points equal to your sorcerer level.
Fire: When you cast a spell that deals fire damage, you ignore resistance to fire damage, and treat immunity as resistance.
Water: When you cast a spell that deals cold damage, you can force the target to make a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or have its speed halved for 1 minute. The target can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Sorcerer Power Reservoir, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Wishborn Ascendancy
18th-Level Sorcerer (Genie) Feature
Your connection to genie magic allows you to temporarily manifest a fraction of their legendary power. As a bonus action, you can enter an ascendant state for 1 minute, gaining the following benefits:
You gain a flying speed of 60 feet if you have Air Affinity, a burrowing speed of 30 feet if you have Earth Affinity, immunity to fire damage if you have Fire Affinity, or the ability to move and act normally underwater if you have Water Affinity.
You can cast wish once without expending a spell slot, but only to replicate another spell of 8th level or lower.
You can cast plane shift once without using a spell slot, but only to travel to the Inner Planes or return to the Prime Material Plane.
Once you use this feature, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
