Energy Bubbles

5th Edition
Choose a damage type from among Acid, Cold, Fire, Lightning, or Thunder. This spell gains the appropriate descriptor for the damage type chosen. You wrap your index finger and thumb around the silver ring and blow through it, causing a flurry of what appear to be soapy bubbles to stream away and fill the area. The bubbles cannot be burst until they fill the area. Once they do, any creature moving through or attacking into or out of the area must make a Dexterity (Acrobatics) check against your Spell Save DC. On a failure, they disturb the bubbles. The bubbles all pop in a cascade effect when disturbed or when you will them to, otherwise lasting for the duration. When the bubbles pop, each creature within 5 feet of the area must make a Dexterity Saving Throw, taking 12d4 damage of the chosen type, or half as much on a success.   At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a higher level spell slot, increase the damage by 2d4 for each slot level above its base level.
