The
Astral Plane is a vast, boundless expanse, a bridge between realities where time itself holds little meaning. It is the home of ageless titans, slumbering deities, and luminous entities beyond mortal comprehension. To be touched by the Astral is to be forever marked by its power, your soul infused with the glow of drifting stardust and your mind tethered to the endless void. Whether your lineage traces back to an ancient being of the Astral Plane or you were exposed to its energies in some fateful moment, your magic pulses with the light of distant stars and the strange gravity of the infinite.
Bloodline Spells
1st-Level Sorcerer (Astral Bloodline) Feature
Your magical bloodline has infused you with the ability to cast certain spells. At 1st, 3rd, 5th, 7th, and 9th level, you gain access to bloodline spells connected to your particular bloodline.
Once you gain access to a bloodline spell, you always have access to it, it can't be changed to a different spell when you gain a level, and it doesn't count against your number of spells known. If you gain access to a spell that doesn't appear on the sorcerer spell list, the spell is nonetheless a sorcerer spell for you. A listed spell is of a base level equal to your highest-level sorcerer spell slot at a given level, even if it is of a different level for other classes. For example, if you gain a spell at 5th level, that is a 3rd-level Sorcerer spell for you, even if it is normally a different level.
Luminous Soul
1st-Level Sorcerer (Astral Bloodline) Feature
Your essence radiates the brilliance of the Astral Plane, your very soul infused with starlight. When you cast a Sorcerer spell of 1st level or higher, you can cause yourself to shed dim light in a 10-foot radius for 1 minute. Additionally, you magical darkness within 30 feet of you as dim light.
Astral Drift
6th-Level Sorcerer (Astral Bloodline) Feature
The ephemeral nature of the Astral Plane seeps into your body, allowing you to slip between spaces. When you take damage, you can use your reaction to momentarily phase out of existence, teleporting up to 10 feet to an unoccupied space you can see.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Sorcerer Power Reservoir, regaining all expended uses when you finish a long rest.
Void-Touched Mind
14th-Level Sorcerer (Astral Bloodline) Feature
Your connection to the Astral Plane fortifies your mind against outside influences and expands your consciousness beyond normal limits. You gain resistance to psychic damage, and you have advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
Additionally, as an action, you can reach into another creature’s mind. Choose one creature you can see within 30 feet. The target must make an Intelligence saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, you can either:
Read its surface thoughts for 1 minute, as if under the effect of Detect Thoughts
Momentarily overload its mind, causing it to take psychic damage equal to your Sorcerer level and be unable to take reactions until the start of its next turn.
Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest or expend 3 Sorcery Points to use it again.
Astral Awakening
18th-Level Sorcerer (Astral Bloodline) Feature
You have fully embraced your celestial inheritance, allowing you to transcend the material world. As a bonus action, you can enter an astral state for 1 minute, gaining the following benefits:
You gain a flying speed equal to your walking speed and can hover.
You can move through creatures and objects as if they were difficult terrain. If you end your turn inside a creature or object, you take 1d10 force damage.
Your spell attacks and weapon attacks ignore half and three-quarters cover.
You can use Astral Drift an unlimited number of times while in this state.
Once you activate this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest, unless you expend 15 Sorcery Points to use it again.
