One creature you can see in range makes a Constitution saving throw, taking 8d4 necrotic damage on a failure as the blood is torn from their body, or half as much damage on a success. You regain hit points equal to half the damage dealt.
At Higher Levels. When you cast this spell using a spell slot of 4th level or higher, increase the damage by 2d4 for each slot level above 3rd.
