The Brotherhood of Steel

The Brotherhood of Steel is a band of fanatic cultists of northern Elanora sworn to collect all forms of arcane-based technology that they deem is too dangerous to allow loose in the world above. They have taken a particular intertest of late in old Guild-based technology and arcanomancy from the multiverse. Given the events of Guildfall, they see the Little Warriors Adventurers Guild as poor custodians of these artifacts.

They field former members of the Little Warriors who became disillusioned by the events of guildfall. Their new recruits are almost exclusively paladins, clerics and acolytes, suggesting that their founder or trainer was a divine caster of some experience. While they have clashed with the Little Warriors, they have also been seen aiding their cause, notably during the resurrection of William Bregan. The halfling cleric Veronica Appleby was initiated into the order before encountering the new Little Warriors and leaving their ranks.

They were reconciled with the guild during the war, after one of their founding members was discovered to be a Conclave agent and an imposter. Many of them still choose to reside apart from the guild, though, maintaining watch over the ancestor of that Conclave agent, who they revere as a demigod.
