Polina 'Reason' Mikalan

The Contingency.

Polina Mikalan, daughter of Ga'ren Mikalan and Noxala Wintergreen. Wife of William 'Whisper' Bregan . Student of Rhillaine . Accomplished transmuter and illusionist. Founder of Jence, and creator of its defenses.

Given how much we know about this woman, it's surprising how much we don't know. Age is unknown. Race is presumably elven...but also unknown, she's certainly much shorter than most elves. Capabilities, only hinted at. There's been times we've seen her die, but she returns. No one has ever seen her sleep. And no one has ever seen her in possession of a shield token.

But if you are a Little Warrior who fought in the War of the Seeds, odds are good that you saw her at some point. Stark blue hair. Soft green eyes. She wields a plain wooden staff twice her height, which does not appear to be magical, but never carries any bags or supplies or other equipment. She never, ever, smiles...except, perhaps, with her eyes, when she's around children.

And no guild officer ever explains why they call her 'The Contingency'. They just wince, look away, and change the subject.
