Holdrhek Kingdom

Dwarven kingdom occupying a large portion of the Stormcrest Mountains, it mostly extends underground.

Due to its geographic location, it is the main exporter of minerals, stone, and metal weapons in the region of Niquenaira. However, for the same reason it lacks wood and nutritious food production, that need to be imported from the outside. All goods arrive in the city of Haldragsa, the main dwarven harbour, and from there they are distributed across the kingdom.

City guards wear a black tunic over their armor with a yellow vertical band cutting it in half. On the chest, within the band, they have a red square tilted 45 degrees.
Soldiers wear a similar tunic but the yellow band is replaced by the three tools/weapons.
The royal guard all wears heavy armor, with the crest chiseled in the metal.

Storia

Storicamente, la regione occupata oggi dal Regno di Holdrhek è sempre stata abitata da popolazioni naniche che, divise in clan e tribù, hanno convissuto per secoli. Lentamente, durante questa convivenza, si è sviluppato un processo di aggregazione che, a volte pacifico e spontaneo, altre volte violento e improvviso, ha portato alla nascita di quello che ora è conosciuto come Regno di Holdrhek (dal nome della famiglia che inizialmente prese il comando e che tutt'ora governa la nazione). La fondazione del regno risale al 1051 Era delle Giovani Razze (ndr. attualmente siamo al 2987 della stessa era). Per celebrare l'unificazione del regno, il primo sovrano Targun Holdrhek decise di fondare una nuova capitale che, seppur vicina alla città d'origine della famiglia reale (situata all'estremità del fiordo che divide l'attuale Golbadhur e, ad oggi, abbandonata), potesse rappresentare un simbolo di coesione nazionale. Il primo insediamento, temporaneo, venne rapidamente stabilito dove oggi sorge la Città Blu. Nel mentre furono realizzati i progetti per gli scavi della Golbadhur vera e propria, completati finalmente dopo un paio di secoli.

Living underground, most products of the earth are not extremely nutritious and are mostly roots and fungi.

Industry

Mineral and stone extraction are the main activities together with the refining and manufacturing of those resources. Particularly important is the minerary settlement of Tor Amund, where the biggest iron mine of the whole region of Niquenaira is located; this settlement alone sustains most of the weapon and armour production of the entire kingdom and its ore is famous and coveted.

Trade & Transport

Haldragsa is the main trading hub of the kingdom and most goods, especially the ones coming from abroad or those destined to export pass through its docks.
