Raphyr

The Raphy is a mischievous little rodent found prodminantely in the Wynnerriver Valley. This small rodent, with its antics, brings both delight and annoyance to the locals and visitors with its habit of stealing all kinds of food directly from the plates of people. Its distinctive call resembles joyful giggling, which may be often endearing but can be unnerving for the wandererwho would like to protect their belongings and food.   Raphyrs have a peculiar habit of stealing food from unwary travelers and campers. However, instead of simply hoarding the loot, Raphyr possesses a unique ability - it can swiftly mold mud into a near-perfect replica of the stolen item, even approaching the color of the object. The valley's inhabitants have learned to be vigilant of this endearing trickster, always checking their food twice after they may have looked away for a second.

Appearance

A Raphyr is a small, cute rodent with round body and soft fur in earthy tones. It has large, bright eyes and a long, agile tail. Its nimble paws are well suited to swiftly swipe items and create the accurate replicas to replace them with.

Social behavior

The Raphyr is a sociable and playful creature, often seen interacting with other members of its kind and forming small, close-knit groups within the Wynneriver Valley. They enjoy playing games and engaging in playful chases, showcasing their mischievous nature among themselves.   Raphyr can be slightly domesticated, as they tend to bond with people who treat them nicely and give them food. This can in turn lead to them offering stolen items to their favorite person - which sometimes leads to completely new awkward situations, of course.   Raphyrs are primarily nocturnal creatures, coming to life under the cover of darkness. During the night, they explore the valley in search of food, leaving a trail of giggling calls in their wake.   Raphyrs are skilled burrowers, creating intricate underground tunnels and nests where they rest during the day. These burrows serve as both shelter from predators and a safe place to stash their playful creations crafted from mud. When living near their favorite person, they like to burrow into heaps of clothes or other fabrics.
