Bloodstones
Is it moral? All this killing, and just for some stupid stone.
Why is it that we're allowed to do this, breaking the law and playing god over life.
Overview
Bloodstones are one of the most valuable resources in Ekkalis, being in demand and difficult to resupply. Made from spilling the blood of the deceased, a small, red stone will form within the pool of blood that drips. Depending on the recency of the death, and cause, the Bloodstone can form anywhere between instantaneously to after around five minutes if the death is within the day. After a day, it's unlikely that any bloodstone will form. The power of the Bloodstone is unique, coming from the idea that the remaining life that a person lost could have won is imparted onto the stone. This idea was once controversial, causing division on the idea of giving lives for power; subsequently, it was decided that a group, now multiple groups, would be given express permission to collect Bloodstones in exchange for fighting wars and working for the government, a plan that broke down as organizations of Oath Assassins fought to be the winning organization.Navigation

Was not disappointed! talk about scarcity. Thats a tedius method of creation there. so has anyone found similar factors in the differences and similarities? like if someone was a horrible person or maybe if they were just physically unhealthy, would it effect it? I like the loophole with natural disasters as well! excellent touch!
Also, So sorry, but OMG the sliders. you have multible slider tabs!? thats amazing
Definitely a rather difficult substance to collect in large amounts. Luckily, they usually last a year or two when being used for standard purposes. As far as the unmeasurable magic stored in each, it is basically the condensed life remaining in a person. Because that's hard to predict it's hard to know the exact purposes but I can confirm an unhealthy, middle-aged person wouldn't be as much use as a young, spry, fit one. As far as psychologically, there's not much there that can be involved in the creation of Bloodstones. Honestly, forgot I'd included that. Should probably remember that when writing... it seems like a fun loophole to mess around with. The sliders are my favorite part as well. There are 7 different sliders that can be seen at different points. It was a fun mess to put together. :) Thanks again for the comment.
