The Unyctan Empire

Territories

The Unyctan Empire controls the most territory of any other organization on the globe. Their land stretches from an oceanic coast, to humid marshland, frigid tundras, and the edge of the most populated desert area on the globe (occupied by the nation of Taicha). They are constantly trying to expand, however cannot seen to break into the northwestern steppes due to the volatile and unpredictable tribal communities that occupy the land. In the empire's southern territory, the remnants of the conquered Beshaani Kingdom tend to stage occasional violent upheavals and protests, but are no match for the vast empiric troops that surround their former jungle territory.

Currency
Unyct is a large country, and so uses a (loosely regulated) system of metal coins. They are all made from the same metal, but are cut into different shapes. On one side is the stamp of the seal of the royal family, and on the other is a stamp of the god Joku, the main god of the Uno'oc religion. The different coins contain a value as follows:
  • sen - the most basic amount, oval shaped
  • isen - double the worth of a sen, circular
  • aysen - five times the worth of a sen, rounded diamond
  • jusen - ten times the worth of a sen, a larger circle than the isen
  • kisen - fifteen times the worth of a sen, a sharply-edged diamond
  • cosen - twenty times the worth of a sen, the largest piece of them all, shaped as a circle
Legislative Body
The Unyctan emperor has all control over which laws are put into place, though traditionally holds an advisory council meeting with each creation or destruction of a law. But, there is no statement that says the ruling body absolutely needs to listen to their advisors.
Judicial Body
Each state and substate under the empire contains it's own authoritative body, and all act with the emperor's intentions. The emperor appoints one judge per state to settle minor disputes, however they are required to submit a report at the end of each month detailing the cases they were met with and the decisions that were made. They are separate from the military, however in smaller, more remote sects of the empire, military occupation takes precedence over local law.
