IB Session 3: The Countess and the Pre-Countess

From Rho's Imagination Journal...
After mom left, Marquis told me to keep a story journal in my head to remember the fun adventures and stuff when I need cheering up. It’s like a scone you saved for later except in your head! Here’s today’s adventure (so far). The library was a comfy place to sleep. The rug on the floor was even comfier than my bed! Dad and I got to work making scones and coffee for the other people in the house so they could talk about some things. I heard something about a body. Could be a somebody, maybe even an anybody! A couple people went in and out of the house on the porch. It wasn’t even sunny out! I only ever see Ms. Iona go outside when it’s cold and sad outside. I think she’s sad too. Marquis’ son (Geo?) wanted to go inside the library after one of the cats found something. I call them cats but they can walk like people and talk! They are both very nice, especially Aura who likes dolls like I do. But Spark is also nice to. But he wanted to go to the library with the mean man (Gaultear?). He yelled at me and said I was bad, which hurt my feelings. But they left to the library. But then Ms. Yes talked to me and asked to play! She wanted to see my dolls and toys! I like Ms. Yes. She’s nice like my mom. I hope she never leaves! I showed her my room and my toy chest! I showed her the Countess and the Princess Countess (the Pre-Countess now!). I told her the story about how the Vizier tried to take the kingdom from them and separate them, but she said it was sad. I guess she’s write. But then she wanted to see the dolls in Marquis’ study! I told her we could only play with them quietly so Marquis doesn’t know. I think she’s never met him before. I see him all the time! Then a mean lady pushed me and Ms. Yes! I was about to cry but I’m pretty strong. And tough. Then Ms. Jupiter fell in a funny way. She’s silly because she calls people “darling.” She said she was playing tag and needed help. I’m the best at tag on the island! Except for Marquis I guess. People still haven’t seen him yet. But I had a plan! We cornered the mean lady and I even got to tackle her! I wish I could tackle Lady Christa, but I know she’d be extra mean if I did. She’d kick me extra extra extra hard. I wonder where she is? I thought Ms. Jupiter was hurting the mean lady in the same way my dad used to do, but it turns out she was just pulling away a disguise! Just like in the Jinkies Mysteries! The mean lady said she was named Karen, but I think she was sorry. She even gave Ms. Jupiter an apology candle, which smelled pretty bad (Don’t tell her I said that!). We all decided to get chocolate and be friends! And then we went to the study. Ms. Yes tried to open the door to Marquis’ study with her feet, but that’s silly! You’re supposed to use your hands! Ms. Jupiter did a cool trick to turn a candlestick into a key! I want to try that one day! I got to see all the dolls again! There was Buttercup and Lady and Peony and even Atropus! Ms. Yes and Ms. Jupiter wanted to see Atropus, but the Marquis didn’t want me to touch him. But I think he had a key so I looked for it. I think Ms. Jupiter was having fun because she laughed a lot. But then she asked me to take off my bracelet. And she was mean about it. I thought she was supposed to be my friend! But Ms. Yes was still nice to me. I told her it was bshk. Bayushk. Byruck. Darn. I didn’t want to take it off because Marquis told me to keep it on! I don’t want to be bad or he’ll get mad at me! But then I heard his voice, telling me to take it off. I’m good at directions so I did. Then, I heard a crash bang boom! It was from downstairs. I went outside and saw Marquis coming upstairs to our floor! He looked mad! He probably knew we were up to no good! He was even so mad he pushed Karen off the railing! I hope I can explain things good to him. I don’t want to leave the island like mom.... -Written by Kush
