Rōz-El

"Children have the right idea. Don't forget—you knew more back then."
Rōz-El

Rōz-El is the goddess of life and joy. She loved the world from her first moment, and her parents taught her to have tremendous gratitude for everything she had been given. As she began to travel through the world and meet people, she found a great many of them who were doing all they could just to survive, and had not the time or the energy to be happy or grateful. She came to see this as a grave problem and dedicated herself to helping the humanoids of Ekaia to find joy even in the simplest and lowliest of places. She found her greatest success in the gnome population of Merriwich. However, she was not naive, and knew that health and security were essential to see the giftedness of life. And so she became not only a proponent of life, but a warrior in defense of it. She relentlessly hunted those among the Meydra who were responsible for death, particularly Dzuzce. Though she was joyful and happy when at leisure, on the hunt she was fearsome and unyielding. She is the only Meydra portrayed as a gnome, always wearing bright colors with flaxen hair. However, she was also known to, in defense of life, take the form of a great beast, like a giant wolf with golden fur.   Because she has a great following among gnomes, she has many nicknames, the chiefest of which is Allandyrozendah the Marvelous. Often the spelling of her name is standardized to Roselle.

Relationships

Rōz-El's parents were Perennitus and Na-Ima. Her brother was Elairus. She had a husband, a gnome named Jebbymeld, and they made their home in Merriwich, although they traveled frequently. Their son Roondar is a notable Simra in Talazic, and their daughter Olive in Avera.

Followers

A great many of Rōz-El's followers are gnomes, but she has plenty of clerics among most of the foremost intelligent races of Ekaia. They wear multicolored robes and golden rings in the shape of wolf heads.
