Neshti

Neshti is a pagan deity portrayed as a man who tapers off into a long desert snake below the waist, with yellow slitted eyes and spikes running down his back and tail. Historically he has been revered among the native tribes of the Saij Desert in Bhren as a creature that defeated death by strangling the angel sent by Na-Ima to reap him, and then fleeing eternally across the desert sands. These legends trace their roots back to the mid to late Era of Cloud. Neshti's scales were said to fling off solid gold in the sunlight and many groups of bandits and marauders offered him sanctuary in exchange for this gold. He is an undying patron to some warlocks.
