Hellonde
The large island of Hellonde, some 1500 miles from east to west and 500 miles from north to south at its widest point, serves as a penal colony for many of the more civilized states of Gonde..
Hellonde has no economy to speak off. Prisoners tend to be dropped off on the island, sometimes with minimal supplies, sometimes not, and left to fend for themselves. Some states use sparsely occupied outposts as drop off points on the island, such as Prisoner’s Rest on the northeast side of the island, while some just dump prisoners on a beach and leave them to it.
Though exile to Hellonde can be tantamount to a death sentence for some, others have used it to forge a new life. Some small settlements have sprung up, some small groups have formed and live nomadic lifestyle. Many people just do what they must to survive.
Wild and unexplored away from the coastline, much of Hellonde lies waiting for discovery, and the island waits to be tamed. Some who are sent here are guilty, some are innocent. None come to Hellonde by choice.
