Orc's of Ghagzughoris

In 274 P.C. an Orc small warband from the Orcish City of Vog Noren led by Ghamonk attacked on a small village on the outskirts of the Elven Kingdom of A'le Allanar. The battle obliterated the village, and the few survivors were taken captive to be returned to Vog Noren as slaves. Xuk, a younger member of the warband was tasked with watching over the captives. During the return journey Xuk often spoke to the survivors, and learned of the life they lived. To most Orc, the idea of a peaceful life, without constant battles and war would be alien, however to Xuk the, idea sounded, interesting. When the warband returned to Vog Noren the prisoners were given to the Chief as tribute. For the first time in his life Xuk felt pity as the men were slaughtered and the women were ravaged.

Although the change was subtle at first, Xuk soon began to find that his thirst for war and conquest was not a great as it once was. Xuk began to dislike raids on the Elven villages and outposts and he found that he would actively speak out against attacking targets. The response from the warleaders was severe, Xuk was often beat for his insolence. It was in those moments, however that the seeds of rebellion were born.

In the years that followed, Xuk began speaking to the younger Orc and the children of prisoners. Xuk spoke of a peaceful life. One where the oppressive lash of the warleaders couldn't reach and where the Orc's could live among others, not as invaders, but as equals. His talks became something that many of the younger Orc's and Half-Orc's looked forward to and soon began to emulate. By the fall of 282 P.C. about one-sixth of the Orc's in Vog Noren followed Xuk's ideals, and as more Orc's fell in line with Xuk, the more they demanded action.

Xuk, knowing that the warleaders would never follow his banner, came up with a plan. Organizing his followers, Xuk, lead a small force and freed the prisoners the tribe had captured. Most were Elven subjects of A'le Allanar. With the freed prisoners in tow, Xuk's followers deserted and left for the Kingdom of A'le Allanar.

As was to be expected, the warleaders sent out forces to eliminate Xuk and bring his forces back into the fold. The two Orc forces met on the outskirts of the Leorior Grove. Just prior to the start of the battle Xuk sent the freed prisoners ahead, hoping that at the very least his forces could cover the freed prisoners safe return. By luck the former prisoners came upon a Elvish patrol. The liberated Elves told the patrol of Xuk's actions and that many of their half-children were among those fighting. The elvish patrol decided to ride into battle.

With the additional forces of the Elves, Xuk and his followers were able to win the day. The Elven King Aias Urimoira, grateful for the return of his people and seeking an alliance with these Orc's granted a piece of the Kingdom's land to Xuk and his followers. The land, on the southern edge of the Leorior Grove was renamed Ghagzughoris and became a home all Orc's who sought to be free.
