Effect

The necromantic magic travels from the user's fingertips to the affected creature's brain and damages their magic capabilities.

Side/Secondary Effects

The side effect of such a blatantly disgraceful use of magic is if the spell fails the target may take damage from necrotic sources.

Manifestation

A dark tendril shoots forth from the fingertips of the caster and wraps around the target's head. The dark tendril seems to shoot forth spirits of darkness as if it is wrought from the Shadowfell itself. A screeching of terror can be heard as the spell is uttered aloud.

Source

The power of the spell is drawn forth from the corrupt magic of Emer. A branch from the island or even dirt from the tainted soil can be utilized to cast the spell. The magic appears to be wrought from the latent magic energy found there.

Discovery

A necromancer by the name of Akabo discovered this use of magic after spending months with the Treant tribes of Emer. It is rumored that Akabo was once a native of the Island; though the rumors have yet to be substantiated.
